Join us on Saturday, February 7 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. for an energizing, skill-building, and deeply impactful day of action with Richland County Citizens for Property Rights and Job Development.

We’ll begin with an in-depth deep canvassing training, one of the only voter contact tactics proven to persuade people in a lasting way. Deep canvassing teaches us how to have honest, respectful, one-on-one conversations with our neighbors, even when the issues feel hard or divisive. In a time when talking to one another feels increasingly difficult, these skills are more important than ever.

If you attend this training, you will not need to attend future deep canvassing trainings, even if you volunteer again later. And even if you can’t stay for canvassing afterward, the training alone is absolutely worth your time.

What the day will look like: • Welcome and orientation • 1-hour deep canvassing training • 30-minute lunch (food provided) • 20-minute pre-brief and final prep • Field canvassing and phone canvassing options available • Regroup at the library around 4:20 p.m. • Wrap up by 4:55 p.m.

What to bring: • A phone charger (especially if phone banking) • A laptop if you plan to phone canvas • Comfortable clothes, weather-appropriate layers, and a water bottle if canvassing in the field
