Linda Ozello joined the Ohio Citizen Action team in November 2025 as a Volunteer Coordinator for Rural Projects where she will help expand clean energy outreach through solar engagement projects that empower communities.
Linda's passion for organizing is rooted in her own experiences navigating the healthcare system after developing chronic health conditions at a young age.A graduate of Bowling Green State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and wrote her senior thesis on healthcare access, Linda has built a career at the intersection of people and policy. Before joining OCA, she worked in human resources, where she championed employee well-being and ADA accommodations, and collaborated with survivors of domestic violence and individuals navigating healthcare crises.
Her organizing background spans local, state, and federal levels — from volunteering for presidential campaigns to working with the Ohio Democratic Party on behalf of former Senator Sherrod Brown. She also volunteered with the Brown Bag Food Project, a Wood County nonprofit that provides 3–5 days of fresh food to anyone in need, and is a proud member of the 100 Hours Club at the Wood County Humane Society, where she fostered cats with medical challenges.
In her free time, Linda enjoys writing articles on Medium, designing on Canva, reading, and exploring local parks with her husband, their daughter Emerson, and their two dogs, Bennie and Bernie.
