Kel McConaughey joined Ohio Citizen Action as Director of Individual Giving, bringing extensive experience in nonprofit fundraising and organizational leadership.

A strong advocate for social justice, Kel has helped enshrine reproductive freedom protections in the Ohio Constitution, secured significant funding to expand equitable access to high-quality childcare, and contributed to initiatives supporting safe housing, local food access, and environmental planning focused on public health and clean air.

A former U.S. Peace Corps volunteer and first-generation college graduate, Kel earned her degree from The Ohio State University and grew up in Northeast Ohio.

Kel lives in Columbus with her daughter and three cats, and can often be found getting lost in the woods.
