An attorney with Thompson Hine, Kayla made Cleveland her home after graduating from the University of Dayton law school in 2023 and is especially passionate about how city planning and zoning might foster diverse neighborhoods and environmental equity. She joined the board to make a difference on issues affecting everyday Ohioans, which might otherwise go unnoticed and expects to use her training in both political science and the law to strategize, plan and message around Ohio Citizen Action’s campaigns.

Kayla takes inspiration from Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who once said “Fight for the things that you care about. But do it in a way that will lead others to join you,” a great motto right in line with Ohio Citizen Action’s mission.

In her spare time Kayla enjoys traveling, cooking, playing video games, and going on walks with her husband and wiener dog. We’re honored Kayla has chosen us as her first non-profit board and look forward to working with her for years to come.
