With a strong legal background and a deep commitment to community organizing, Bella Bogin has been actively involved in various grassroots campaigns focused on social justice and environmental sustainability. Working with Ohio Citizen Action has further deepened her dedication to activism, particularly in empowering communities to make informed decisions about renewable energy.
A graduate of Ohio Dominican University with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Environmental Science, Bella spent a year of service with The Dominican Volunteers USA, living with Catholic Sisters in the Bronx in New York City. During this time, she worked as a program manager at a domestic violence shelter for expecting mothers and those with young children, while also engaging in social justice work, including education, healthcare, and advocacy for the poor and vulnerable.
This experience profoundly shaped Bella's worldview and fueled her commitment to fighting against injustice in all its forms. The grassroots activism and commitment to meaningful change embodied by Ohio Citizen Action resonates deeply and aligns with her passion for empowering communities and advocating for marginalized voices.
