THE WINS OF 2025
The victories of 2025 were hard-fought and real:
- Solar energy victories in Fairfield and Knox Counties, expanding clean energy in communities across Ohio.
- Repeal of the HB 6 coal bailouts, which had been costing ratepayers nearly $400,000 every single day.
- A first-in-the-nation solar ban referendum on the ballot in Richland County, putting the power of this decision where it belongs — with voters.
- Passage of HB 303 through the Ohio House, bringing community energy one step closer to reality for Ohioans.
WHAT'S AHEAD IN 2026
We're not slowing down. In 2026, Ohio Citizen Action will:
- Return to the Ohio Senate to pass HB 303 and give Ohioans the power to share in locally produced community energy programs.
- Organize door-to-door in Richland County ahead of the May 5 vote on whether to overturn the ban on solar and wind development.
- Work to elect pro-democracy candidates up and down the ballot in November.
