Community Meeting on Air Pollution
Testing
Monday, November 28, 2005
6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Pilgrim Congregational Church
2592 W. 14th St.
Tremont
Denny
Larson , Director of Global Community
Monitor (an international human rights and environmental justice organization
that empowers comunities to monitor their environment) will come to Cleveland
to teach neighborhood residents how to build and use our own air monitoring
"buckets" out of ordinary materials. Denny recently helped citizens
in Cincinnati win a major victory to reduce pollution at the Lanxess Plastics
plant on the Ohio River.
Citizens around the world are revolutionizing air testing by taking matters
into their own hands and getting their own test results at times when
the pollution is the worst, on the evenings and the weekends.
Please RSVP to Ohio Citizen Action, 861-5200 if you would like to learn
to build your own air pollution sampling bucket (so we have enough materials).
