The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission holds monthly meetings to present to the public the status of activities at Davis-Besse. This is the last meeting of the year. Please attend, tell the Commission and FirstEnergy what you think about what's going on and listen to what your neighbors have to say.

Six reasons why you should attend

  1. Nine months ago FirstEnergy found a hole the size of a milk jug on the head of the reactor.
  2. The NRC published a report which found that a meltdown in the spent fuel pool of a nuclear power plant could cause fatal cancer in people as far as 500 miles away from the plant.
  3. FirstEnergy hid photographs taken of their corroded reactor head two years ago.
  4. FirstEnergy is under criminal investigations for withholding information from federal regulators about the condition of the plant.
  5. In June, FirstEnergy found more rust on the reactor. The company still cannot identify where the rust is coming from.
  6. In August, FirstEnergy admitted that they were guilty of placing production of electricity above the safety of its workers and the community.
