Where do the candidates stand on banning mountaintop removal coal mining?

The Clean Water Protection Act, H.R. 2169, would effectively ban mountaintop removal coal mining. It currently has 145 co-sponsors, including three from Ohio.
  • If your representative in Congress is not a co-sponsor, they can add their name as a co-sponsor immediately.
  • A non-incumbent candidate for Congress can pledge to co-sponsor the bill if elected.
  • And a presidential candidate can pledge to ban it by appropriate executive authority if elected, and to sign the bill into law when it reaches his or her desk.
