Public hearing on Brush Wellman Wednesday, March 1, 7:00 PM Woodmore High School, Elmore

The EPA will hold a public hearing this Wednesday on Brush Wellman's request for renewal of their RCRA permit. This permit will allow Brush Wellman to continue to operate their hazardous waste storage units. The permit will also covers the groundwater contamination from the leaking waste lagoons. This is also the hearing for an air permit modification. Brush wants to increase the amount of particulate matter coming from the stacks on their new expansion by about 30,000 pounds per year.
