We offer internships year round and on a seasonal basis at all three of our offices: Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati. All majors and areas of study are welcome to apply. To be accepted for an internship, all you’ll need are good communication skills and a passion for community issues.
Campaign staff internship
This internship is a paid internship, and is full time. The intern typically earns credit by keeping a journal during the campaign experience or recording their experience in some way, and writing a paper or giving a presentation following completion of the internship. The length of the internship varies based upon student need.
Project internship
This internship combines portions of the campaign staff and research internships and is a part-time paid internship. It is often completed during a summer break. The intern works with the campaign staff for three days during each week; up to two days are spent working directly on a campaign project with the director. The intern typically earns credit for the internship by presenting the project upon completion, and explaining how it impacted the campaign.
Research internship
This internship is unpaid. The intern works directly with the campaign program director on a very specific research project to assist the campaign. The intern typically earns credit for the internship by presenting the project upon completion. The length of the internship varies to accommodate student need.
